Creating and managing mono and stereo conforms
Running client reviews and ensuring proper material is prepped ahead of time
Running internal reviews & dailies
Working directly with IT/Engineering department to ensure necessary hardware and software are in place, proper networking standards are followed, and storage is managed in tandem with I/O and IT departments
Pulling Stereo and VFX material from provided source using bins & EDLs, convert or rename as needed, flagging any discrepancies in a timely manner to internal and/or external production/editorial departments
Quality checking that all required elements, shots, color files, mattes are in place, and that all incoming and outgoing material is correct, ensuring asset integrity
A willingness to learn pipeline and protocol for departments other than editorial
Attending and contributing to department meetings & post-mortems
Assist in the creation of internal demo reels
Evening hours and weekends may be required during project deliveries
Required experience with editorial software such as Avid, Resolve, Mistika.
Ability to troubleshoot editorial hardware issues.
Knowledge of post-production processes & Stereo/VFX workflows.
Excellent communication, organizational & interpersonal skills required, must show initiative.
Proven experience with editorial data management and secure transfer protocols (i.e. Aspera).
Positive attitude & work ethic, ability to remain calm under pressure, ability to focus on details and ensuring accuracy.
Degree in television or film-related programs, or equivalent industry experience.
3-5 years experience in post-production, visual effects or stereo conversion.
Lead Hollywood production team to successful project deliverables.
Collaborate with overseas teams in China and Europe to identify and foster the growth of production workflow, communication, production efficiency & creative integrity both internally, and with the goal of enhancing the client experience.
Create, organize, and maintain production schedules and budgets.
Create and standardize internal and external production reporting.
Responsible for client satisfaction from the start of production schedule, through delivery and the Digital Intermediate.
Responsible for the successful management of 3D, VFX & DI projects including keeping projects on schedule.
Determine the most effective allocation of resources.
Evaluate creative staff during, but not limited to, employee evaluation periods.
Work in tandem with the VP of Creative to determine when client approval is needed before proceeding with additional work.
Collaborate with global executive staff to implement company-wide goals as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in film, art, communications, or related field, preferred.
Minimum 10 years of Visual Effects, Post-production and/or 3D conversion production experience, with a thorough understanding of the entire post production process.
Experience leading teams of production personnel at a senior/executive level, with overseas management experience preferred.
Experience with production tracking software (Shotgun or similar) and asset management software a plus.
Strong client interaction skills and customer service experience required.
Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
